Sporting Achievement

A measure of the School’s success in promoting sports among students is the number of trophies won in inter-school tournaments. The first major trophy was won in 2013 in basketball. It began with becoming the Thimphu champions, then the regional champions and finally national champions. Success has since grown with victories in the following years in other sports and including both girls and boys.

Football

  • Thimphu Champions Boys (5 members selected for senior national team)
  • Thimphu Champions Girls

Table Tennis

  • Thimphu Champions – Singles Boys
  • Thimphu Champions – Doubles Boys

Athletics (national championship)

  • Second position (by Gold medals won)

Judo

  • 4 students represented Bhutan at the 2016 South Asian Games (India)
  • 1 student represented Bhutan at the 2016 Children of Asia Games in Russia

Taekwondo

  • 1 student represented Bhutan at the 2016 South Asian Games (won Bronze)

Boxing

  • 1 student represented Bhutan at the 2016 South Asian Games (52kg)
