10 May 2013 The Pelkhil boys’ basketball team delivered a dominating performance today against Kelki HSS. Both sides were ‘budgeted’ a limited number of seats for their supporters due to the space crunch in the hall. Every seat was taken and the supporters screamed their heads off from start to finish.
Both teams had a good number of tall players and the game was initially quite tough. Kelki took off with a quick lead 7-0. However Pelkhil slowly caught up 7-9 within the first quarter. By the end of the second quarter the skills and attacking play turned the tables and it ended 25-13.
In the second half Pelkhil completely dominated the game both offensively and defensively. The game ended with a decisive 54-28 score.
The Pelkhil School team will now compete in the regional tournament this summer.
