What is Academic Probation?
Academic probation used to be an issue when a large percentage of students in private schools came from public schools through the old ‘cut-off’ system. With the removal of the cut-off system, students facing academic challenges remain within the public school system and AP is no longer an issue in most private schools.
At Pelkhil School, we do not foresee any need for academic probation any longer, so long as parents cooperate whole-heartedly with the school. Most of our students have joined us in the primary grades and emerge as academically proficient junior and high school students. We provide additional academic support to students in need and that is usually enough.
