The birth of Judo in Bhutan!
12 September 2012 The Pelkhil Judo Club was once again honoured by distinguished visitors from Japan. Eighteen delegates, 12 college students of Konan University in Kobe and members of their college Judo Team, accompanied by 6 distinguished Masters of Judo and led by Sensei Shunsuke Yamasaki of Konan University, arrived in Bhutan on the 12th. They spent their afternoon training with members of the Pelkhil Judo Club.
On the 13th, they spent the afternoon once again training the club members. While their morning was spent sightseeing and visiting Dechhenphu, the early afternoon was spent with the Secretary General of the Bhutan Olympic Committee.
