9 JUNE The parents and faculty of Pelkhil School, ably led by the Opposition Leader, cleared the Damchen Petroleum area in Babesa of every trace of marijuana plants today! While all faculty members were present, the turnout of parents was disheartening. Participation in these events is a measure of parental involvement in the affairs of their children and this is what we are keen to build. We look forward to much greater participation next year! But we will continue to keep these things voluntary as compulsory participation sort of defeats the purpose of trying to engage parents.
Parents who are keen to participate but see no point in plucking marijuana, are welcome to propose their own activities and the school will try to organize organize it.
